Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner, Bentley's custom coachbuilding unit, has designed a distinctive keycase to mark the 100th anniversary of Bentley. It is made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes a fluttering "B" paperweight keys, as well as an album of never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

It's a great present to greet a new owner of their lavish vehicle.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a brand which takes its aesthetics seriously. It shows in the precision location of its quilting the selection of leather from by-products of cattle, the wood that comes from sustainably managed forests and the ingenious patterns that are etched on its levers. When you drive by a car like the Continental GT W12, its exquisite design is revealed through carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever made. The rear tonneau of Continental GT, for instance included the biggest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this unique design, craftsmanship and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the world's most sought-after car brand.  bentley key  continues to push boundaries by utilizing the most advanced technology and craftsmanship, including the introduction of an instrument cluster that is digital with an electric tilt-opening back glass sunroof, a handcrafted docking station for Apple iPads and electrochromic "smart" glass that can be switched between opaque and transparent at the touch of the button.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary this year, 100 years after it was established. The marque, currently owned by Volkswagen on its own after years of conflict with BMW and Volkswagen, had planned a variety of special events and launches to mark the occasion. The company planned a range of special events and launches to mark the historic occasion before pandemic planning became a priority.

Design

Bentley is famous for its extravagant and luxurious automobiles and keys, but even the keys are made to stand out. The Bentayga key is made of sterling silver and features an enormous 'B' design that let everyone know that you're a Bentley. The key is also embossed with the dates 1919 and 2019, to commemorate the company's centennial.

The Mulsanne was redesigned and improved by Bentley Mulliner in order to be the ultimate Grand Touring car. The rear seats were designed to offer passengers unmatched comfort and privacy. They were inspired by the luxurious private aircraft. A custom heating, air conditioning, and ventilation system was designed to ensure that every passenger has the ideal temperature control.

The Mulsanne is equipped with a twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that generates 560bhp, and 479lb-ft of torque. This incredibly powerful power is paired with a new suspension that gives Bentley's famously quiet ride.

Bentley has released a special specification for cars built after 2019 to commemorate its centennial. It is known as the Centenary Specification. The cabin is equipped with cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are stitched in Centenary Gold, adding to the feeling of celebration. The Centenary Specification also includes a bespoke Bentley keycase, completing the Bentley experience.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key has two buttons one of which opens the trunk, and another that turns on the vehicle. The key also has a button to turn on the parking brake. There is a knob that can fold and unfold the mirrors while parking in tight spaces. Using this feature can assist you in getting into and out of your vehicle more easily.

Each key takes two days to create. The key is cut by hand, shaped, stitched, sealed, and then polished to create a high-end result.  bentley key  is durable and compact, and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its style is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a luxurious feel.

Secure-A-Key is also included to help prevent keyless entry theft. This device is inserted into the remote-control key fob. It is turned off after a few minutes of inactivity. This prevents thieves from transmitting the frequency of the key to other devices that could unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's distinctive design is a reflection of the company's values that include fine craftsmanship, engineering expertise and the latest technologies. Over 4,000 employees are employed at its Crewe headquarters, where they are responsible for the design, development, and production of Bentley automobiles. They apply their skills that have been handed through generations to the latest automotive technologies. This is a characteristic of British manufacturing at its finest.

Personalisation

Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to essentially design their own vehicle. Guests sit at a series of pictures referred to as "mood stations" and pick a set of images ranging from scenic landscapes to sporting events that can inspire them. As each selection is made, a pattern appears, which reveals the models and colors of the customized Bentley.

The configuration that is created is saved to individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys which are presented to guests in a custom-made key case. Keys are also equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that illuminate the door's opening path with the owner's name, or emblem as they are approaching the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to build and put together a Mulsanne. The reluctance to embrace modern technology is the main factor to this lengthy and laborious process. The Crewe factory workers don't make use of a machine to create perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. And rather than letting  bentley key 's built-in sensors guide it into perpendicular and parallel parking spots drivers must do it by hand.

The event also saw Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities using one particular example that was the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays tribute to founder William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars come with a key that displays the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
